Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968 is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes's character in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 and 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician took her in when she was a baby and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. Procter was raised in Raleigh. She was just three years of age when her parents divorced. Whit is her older brother and she is also an adopted child.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter was educated in Raleigh. Procter attended East Carolina University and was a member Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a anchor on television for the WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she graduated with degrees in journalism, and dance.
